Austin...The Airstream Sensation

It seems as though every eatery you can think of from cup cakes and tacos to even crepes exists in an airstream trailer in Austin. It's definitely no longer out of the norm or original, but never the less still fun to check out. After walking around first Thursday's on SoCo, grabbing a drink at Guerro's and doing a little shopping we decided to try out Crepes Mille , the crepe trailer.  I had the garlic mushroom pizza while Julia and Sally enjoyed the rotisserie chicken.  We were all really pleased with our choices and Gizmo seemed to really enjoy them as well!  As usual, the little fat boy at heart nearly had a panic attack as he salivated and patiently waited for one us to feel like we had to share with him!

And yes, Gizmo joined us at the table since he refused to quit dead legging us as he tried to get our attention!

A Peacock Plantation!

Yes, you read correctly.  Austin has its very own peacock plantation better known as Mayfield Park which butts right up to Laguna Gloria. This little hidden gem was rather entertaining.  These peacocks were roaming about everywhere - in the trees, on the roof tops and one even flew away from us.....I can't imagine why this bird thought our iphone cameras were so startling!  Actually we're really lucky they didn't peck our intrusive camera hands!  The male peacocks were so pulchritudinous (physically beautiful - I figure its better to reference him this way as opposed to calling the man bird pretty!) stealing all the camera light while the unattractive females moped around stuffing their beaks.
